I swear, I get to meet up with the most amazing people ever! Christine contacted me about shooting their engagement session in Jacksonville and I couldn’t resist travelling out there to meet these two. They were honestly some of the sweetest, most genuine people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. They told me stories about how they met, how Max proposed, and even a tale about the time they went to the Grand Canyon… but I’ll keep that one to myself 😉
I can’t even begin to thank you guys enough for allowing me to document your story. Keep on being awesome!
I have to admit that engagement and couples sessions are probably my favorite thing to photograph. It’s just so special to see the love between two people displayed in a tangible form.
Does that sound weird?
Carly reached out to me last year about shooting this lovely engagement session. We hammered out the details and met up at Fort Pickens in Pensacola. There are so many lovely nooks and crannies that are perfect for photos, and we really enjoyed taking our time and exploring.
Towards the end of the session she told me that they had brought some champagne – the same kind that her parents drank at their wedding. Of course we had to get some photos of the champagne pop on the beach.
I cannot thank you guys enough for allowing me to capture this special time in your lives!
I had the absolute honor of hanging out with Branden and Emily during their engagement session last November. Ok, no joke, these two are some of the sweetest, cutest, most loveable people I’ve ever met. They even invited me out for coffee afterwards!
One of my favorite things to have couples do for photos is dance together – well, imagine my surprise when these guys pulled out the perfect two-step! Come to find out, they actually met while country dancing at one of their local spots! How utterly adorable is that?
The evening was gray and cloudy, and it started sprinkling just as soon as I shut my card door after the session, but I’m personally in love with moody skies at the beach and could not have been more pleased with this beautiful gallery 🙂
I first got to meet Lori in October of last year where we sat and talked over the details of her wedding. Right away I could just tell she was a sweet soul and could not wait to document the two of them.
We met up the following month for their engagement session and everything about it was a dream! Grayton Beach State Park made the loveliest backdrop ever, and we took our time exploring the trails and beaches.
I’m so incredibly excited to photograph this wedding in less than two months! Jackson and Lori, thanks for trusting me to document your love story!
I can’t believe so much time has past since I hung out with these lovely people! Joe and Maddy were an absolute blast to photograph. Seriously, dream material over here, haha! Now if they can only forgive me for taking this long to blog their session…
We started the session in downtown Pensacola and were able to find some awesome nooks and crannies that were perfect for getting cozy. From there we went to the beach, and it was legit the perfect evening.
I had the chance to work with these two incredibly wonderful people this past October. I can’t even begin to describe how much in love they are. Our whole time together was filled with snuggles, kisses, and sweet words – between them of course, I just photographed it, haha!
We met at Johnson Beach in Pensacola and took our time exploring some trails and walking on the beach. It was such a wonderfully relaxing session, and I’m so thankful they chose me to be their photographer.
Oh my goodness you guys, this past year was such an amazing time of growth, both personally and in my business. I have every single one of my amazing clients to thank for that. I truly feel so blessed to have this amazing job that puts me in the position to meet so many wonderful, amazing people. I’m so thankful for every single one of you!
So, to honor the New Year, I wanted to post a blog with some of my absolute favorite images from 2017! Here goes!
Ok you guys, I’m so excited to be blogging this wedding. Monica first got in touch with me at the beginning of 2017 and I could not be more excited that she chose me to document their October 7th wedding in Pensacola! William and Monica were two of the kindest, most fun, most laid back people I’ve ever met. They were married at Little Flower Catholic Church in Pensacola, Florida, then we headed over to Seville Quarter for their reception.
As with any wedding, we were thrown a hurdle with Hurricane Nate hitting that very evening. Seville Quarter saved the day by moving everything for the reception in doors, and mainly being awesome the whole night through.
Monica’s mother made her dress (which was so beautiful!). Flowers were from Fiore of Pensacola, and the cake was made by Chef Heather of Emerald Coast Custom Cakes.
William’s face as he watched his bride come down the aisle towards him was priceless! You could just see the love written in every smile.
See??? Look at that guy! So precious!
This Catholic mass was such a beautiful way to celebrate the union of these two people.
This is legit one of my favorite photos from this year! Monica just kept flashing these beautiful smiles in her groom’s direction and the camera loved every moment of it!
Can this girl’s smile be beat? I think not!
We had a little time for canoodling in between the ceremony and family photos. The doors of the church made such a beautiful backdrop.
They had people congratulating them all day, and they had a blast with it!
We stopped at Brew-ha-ha’s in Pensacola to use the amazing sign on the side of their building!
They also had a super cute kissing booth! We couldn’t pass that up.
After we left Brew-ha-ha’s they asked me if I minded following them to the Old Hickory Whiskey Bar in downtown Pensacola. Of course my answer was let’s do it!
It was so wonderful capturing these two in one of their favorite bars in the area. It definitely added a beautiful personalization to the day, and gave them a bit of respite from the business of the wedding.
The underlying theme of their wedding was, “I love you – I know,” which, of course, is from Star Wars. William is a HUGE fan of the series, so they worked in little details like these awesome socks!
This cake by Emerald Custom Cakes was not only gorgeous, but was literally the best tasting cake I’ve ever had!
Seville Quarter has so many unique details, and I had an absolute blast photographing them!
Fiore of Pensacola did an amazing job with these florals! And they looked amazing all day long! Monica had a rosary wrapped around her bouquet, and it was such a beautiful touch.
Here’s where the tears start flowing. William’s close friend, who was to be his best man, passed away a few months before the wedding. In honor of his friend, William kept this hat with him all day.
Seville Quarter definitely has a unique history, so when Monica asked if we could get some pictures on this haunted staircase I had to say yes! I also have a funny/creepy story where I wandered upstairs during the reception and definitely got some creepy vibes – and I swear there was a faucet running although I was the only one up there.
This was such a wonderful wedding and I enjoyed every single moment of it. Monica and William, THANK YOU for allowing me to share in this day with you. It was an honor to tell your story.
Erin reached out to me a mere 3 (2?) weeks before her wedding! In the military life can be uncertain to say the least, so these two saw an opportunity to tie the knot and jumped on it! And it was one of the most beautiful, sweetest, most intimate weddings I’ve ever seen. With their close friends and family surrounding them, Ty and Erin pledged their lives to each other overlooking the beautiful bay in Pensacola Beach. Hemingway’s provided a wonderful dinner and reception site, and the cake and flowers were absolutely stunning.
In short, these beautiful people had a wedding that could not be beat, and I’m so glad I was there to capture everything!
