It’s always an honor when another photographer reaches out, so when Travis inquired about a Sunnyside photography session I was so thrilled!
Sunnyside is a beautiful little spot right between Carrillon Beach and Panama City Beach. It tends to be a little quieter than the craziness on 30A or further down the coast in PCB. This is one reason Sunnyside is perfect for photography sessions! There are plenty of public beach access points in this area, most of which have side-of-the-road parking. This is another difference from 30A where the majority of beach access points are privatized. Ask me which area I prefer 😉
We met on the beach in Sunnyside and spent a little bit of time exploring the beautiful dunes. Being from Iowa, the kiddos were obviously excited to get down to the water. We played a few games (ring around the rosie, red light/green light), and then I let them do the unthinkable – throw sand at me! This is always a highlight for kiddos during any session 🙂
After we got all the clean, smiling, and looking at the camera photos mom and dad gave the ok to get in the water. We splashed, played, and ran to our hearts’ content. It always fills me with joy to see kids getting to be their wild, joyous selves during a session. I promise, this style of photo always ends up being the favorite out of the entire gallery.
Towards the end of the night the kiddos got a bit tired and I was able to get some beautiful, snuggly photos with mom and dad. My little photographer heart was squealing, so excited for this family to see their photos.
