William and Monica – Seville Quarter Wedding – Pensacola Wedding Photography
Ok you guys, I’m so excited to be blogging this wedding. Monica first got in touch with me at the beginning of 2017 and I could not be more excited that she chose me to document their October 7th wedding in Pensacola! William and Monica were two of the kindest, most fun, most laid back people I’ve ever met. They were married at Little Flower Catholic Church in Pensacola, Florida, then we headed over to Seville Quarter for their reception.
As with any wedding, we were thrown a hurdle with Hurricane Nate hitting that very evening. Seville Quarter saved the day by moving everything for the reception in doors, and mainly being awesome the whole night through.
Monica’s mother made her dress (which was so beautiful!). Flowers were from Fiore of Pensacola, and the cake was made by Chef Heather of Emerald Coast Custom Cakes.
William’s face as he watched his bride come down the aisle towards him was priceless! You could just see the love written in every smile.
See??? Look at that guy! So precious!
This Catholic mass was such a beautiful way to celebrate the union of these two people.
This is legit one of my favorite photos from this year! Monica just kept flashing these beautiful smiles in her groom’s direction and the camera loved every moment of it!
Can this girl’s smile be beat? I think not!
We had a little time for canoodling in between the ceremony and family photos. The doors of the church made such a beautiful backdrop.
They had people congratulating them all day, and they had a blast with it!
We stopped at Brew-ha-ha’s in Pensacola to use the amazing sign on the side of their building!
They also had a super cute kissing booth! We couldn’t pass that up.
After we left Brew-ha-ha’s they asked me if I minded following them to the Old Hickory Whiskey Bar in downtown Pensacola. Of course my answer was let’s do it!
It was so wonderful capturing these two in one of their favorite bars in the area. It definitely added a beautiful personalization to the day, and gave them a bit of respite from the business of the wedding.
The underlying theme of their wedding was, “I love you – I know,” which, of course, is from Star Wars. William is a HUGE fan of the series, so they worked in little details like these awesome socks!
This cake by Emerald Custom Cakes was not only gorgeous, but was literally the best tasting cake I’ve ever had!
Seville Quarter has so many unique details, and I had an absolute blast photographing them!
Fiore of Pensacola did an amazing job with these florals! And they looked amazing all day long! Monica had a rosary wrapped around her bouquet, and it was such a beautiful touch.
Here’s where the tears start flowing. William’s close friend, who was to be his best man, passed away a few months before the wedding. In honor of his friend, William kept this hat with him all day.
Seville Quarter definitely has a unique history, so when Monica asked if we could get some pictures on this haunted staircase I had to say yes! I also have a funny/creepy story where I wandered upstairs during the reception and definitely got some creepy vibes – and I swear there was a faucet running although I was the only one up there.
This was such a wonderful wedding and I enjoyed every single moment of it. Monica and William, THANK YOU for allowing me to share in this day with you. It was an honor to tell your story.
